While you apply a moisturizing cream on your body, make sure you should not apply it on the areas affected by acne. If you do, it may spread the infection on the healthy parts of your body as well. You should use mild oil free soaps to clean acne-affected areas. Also, do not over cleanse affected areas in order to prevent further spreading of the infection.

You must keep in mind that oral acne medicines can prove to be very harmful during pregnancy. It may complicate things for you and your baby. Instead, you should use alternate methods of dealing with this problem while you are pregnant. Moreover, you should not use retinoic acid containing medications to avert acne during pregnancy. This is because such these types of drugs can create serious problems for the unborn child. They may cause birth defects or deformations to the baby. It can even cause brain malfunctions and learning deformities when you use vitamin A for treating acne during pregnancy.

As an alternate, you should take plenty of yellow and red fruits. You can also try some natural ingredients to cure acne, which are safe. However, if the problem of acne does not leave you during this period, it is recommended to wait and not to go for strong medication or skin treatments during pregnancy. Although your skin is as important to you during pregnancy as it is in normal circumstance, but strong treatments for acne can create a lot of threat for the baby. Once you have delivered the child, you can take any course to tackle this skin problem.
