Home Cures For Asthma

Many people are of the opinion that instead of resorting to the regular medication for asthma it is better to try home cures for asthma. Some of the most tried and tested home cures for asthma are;

1. One of the most accepted cures of asthma is our very own honey. Some people think that if you put a jug of honey in front of the nose of a patient who is suffering from an asthma attack, he will definitely start breathing normally very soon.

2. Figs help asthma patients drain off the phlegm. To have the best possible results, it is better to leave three or four dry figs overnight and then have them in the morning.

3. It is said that if you take a glass of water with one lemon with your meals, you will be able to prevent asthma attacks very easily.

4. Five grams of gooseberry mixed with one tablespoon of honey, if taken every morning, will bring good results. s

5. Now it is very difficult to eat bitter gourd plant, but it has been used since centuries for the treatment of asthma. You can have a teaspoon of the root paste, mixed with an identical amount of honey or juice of the tulsi leaves, once every month and the result will speak for itself.

6. There is a well known soup that is prepared from the drumstick leaves, which if taken daily can avoid a prospective asthma attack to a great deal.

7. You can take a teaspoon of fresh ginger juice and mix it up with a cup of fenugreek decoction and add some honey to taste. Have this and it will act as a brilliant expectorant in cases of asthma. For best results it is advisable that you take this antidote every once in the morning and once in the evening.

8. I know that it sounds not very tempting but ten garlic cloves, boiled in 30 ml of milk, can be very helpful in curing the early signs of asthma. But to have the best possible results this solution should be taken every day by the patient. Steaming ginger tea with two minced garlic cloves in it is also a tested way of preventing an asthma attack.

9. Half a teaspoon of bishop's weed mixed in a glass of buttermilk and taken two times each day will be amazing for asthma prevention. It can also be used for asthma relief. It is advisable that the patient breathes breathe in steam of bishop's weed twice a day which will relieve the airways.

10. Half a teaspoon of powder of the dry safflower seeds, mixed with a tablespoon of honey, can be taken one or two times a day for the effective treatment of this allergy. The best thing about it is that it acts as an expectorant and decreases the spasms by liquefying the tenacious sputum. You can infuse five grams of flowers mixed with one tablespoon of honey, taken once every day, to prevent the attacks to a great extent.

So as we can see very clearly, there are many home cures of asthma which have been used to this day for the treatment of asthma rather than the ordinary medicines.
