Beauty Makeup Trends

Evolution of cosmetics can better let us understand the constantly changing trends in beauty makeup. Makeup has been worn by men and women for centuries, with a dramatically changing path through the history with time and trends.

In early ages, Egyptians used different kind of substances to scent and moisturize their skins against the heat. They also used to color their eye-lids with green and metal colors, and applied black color to the eye-lashes as well. This passed through and went to Jews adoption for their adornment. Roman philosopher Plautus wrote “A women without paint is like food without salt." proving the painted women of that time, the paint that was used for adornment at that time (254-184 BC).

Moving on, Roman, Greco-Roman, European middle ages, Spanish trends, Italian styles, Elizabeth England and so on entering the 20th century, here actually starts the fashion revolution. Trends like heavy, sharp, glamorous, funky, and star-like looks and the blind follow-up by fans of those who held stardom, are the majors of beauty industry of 20th century all through. The trends kept on changing continuously; the era of the 30-40 Hollywood divas put the accent on the very red lips and extremely thin eyebrows, creating a romantic, dreamy look. The hippie rebellion of the ‘60-70 period put emphasis on the dark, heavy eyes, and the fashion was dominated by the amorphous clothing that allowed freedom of movement.

Current trends, with the start of 21st century incorporate every kind of looks from glamor world to routine fashions in makeup. Make-up is taken more than an art is, and has become an industry. Funks are the new and most trendy looks in this era, but not the only. The 90s required well cut, quality clothing and minimal make-up applied with a light hand and plenty of knowledgeable artistic thoughts. Light grays, blues, and most notably purples are used to create the spring look.

Perfect skin is always ‘the fashion in'. But, for spring its all about looking fresher as if were barely touched, with beautiful eye makeup and strong lip makeup. Talking about the blush, favorable most tints this season are; roses, pastel plums and softer peach shades. Glowing tones are in; heavy browns and bronzers are no more in.

Nude and Pale lipstick shades, probably used with lip-gloss to add shine and volume to lips, is what you for spring this time. No glitters, sparkles or heavy pigments anymore.

All one can notice is that spring trends focus on a girl's natural beauty and the perfection it has. You'll be the waving one if you keep the softness and tenderness in your looks.

The way we perceive beauty and the tricks we can use to bring about such properties may vary along timeline, but the aspiration of looking good and standing out can never change. Whatever the era, season or trends are, it is much important to reflect one's inner personality and nature in the glow of makeup to suit her the most. This will reflect you outlook on life, sending a message to others and redirected back through their reactions to the beautiful you; making you even more.
